Compliance Manager

The Compliance Manager provides oversight and direction, ensures adherence to, and maintains appropriate updates for all elements of the Compliance Program. The Compliance Manager will build business partnerships that provide value to the organization and resources to support the Compliance Program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develop, review, revise policies and procedures which support the Corporate Compliance Plan and follow applicable laws and regulations.
  • Monitor’s and maintains the Company’s quality program and individual contract Quality Control Plans in accordance with contract, regulatory, and company requirements.
  • Assists management with ensuring proper contract compliance and quality control requirements are met during contract transitions.
  • Conducts announced and unannounced site inspections to validate compliance with post orders, contract, and applicable regulations and policies
  • Collects and analyzes quality assurance data, summarizes information collected and analyzes trends; provides QA reports and documentation to VP of Operations; identifies root causes and recommends actions and system improvements to resolve problems with the appropriate group; monitors procedures, corrective actions, and verification processes.
  • Provides quality assurance and quality control education to Program Management staff.
  • Educate and train employees on requirement to report all suspicions of compliance violations and ensure employees who report compliance violations are not subjected to retaliation, harassment or retribution in response
  • Establish and maintain a process for receiving information, assessing and investigating all actual or suspected compliance violations
  • Maintain record of incidents, along with details of investigation, corrective actions, and post-training as needed
  • Perform audits to ensure employee credentials remain in compliance with contract requirement, state, and federal regulation, and are stored in the appropriate system.
  • Maintain the company’s Federal Firearms License (FFL), and state business licensing requirements and ensures continuous compliance with each state.
  • Process employee state guard license applications with applicable governing agencies.
  • Assist with contract transitions and closeouts, and special projects.
  • Manages inventory of ammunition, weapons, and vehicle fleet.

  • Possess an orientation to Problem Solving through quantitative and qualitative analytical
  • Ability to assess a business process and create a practical program to execute the process in an efficient and user-friendly This includes evaluating vendor provided solutions and determination of users’ ability to operate the solution and ability to interface the vendor solution in Company maintained data systems such as Winteam or the common drive. This includes Ability to understand and implement vendor web-based solution for procurement and asset management.
  • Ability to develop and deploy Excel spreadsheets; learn to effectively use data import protocols from WinTeam to Excel to capture information; and evaluate data for decision making
  • Advanced writing skills for communicating with PM’s and others; creating and publishing concise and understandable policies, procedures, guidelines, and other
  • Interpretative Skills to be able to read, understand, and apply provisions of Contracts, Statement of Work, Collective Bargaining Agreements and other governing documents to the workplace environment and
  • Patience in teaching new skills and knowledge to PM’s and other
  • Ability to manage large amount of data, maintain well-organized record files, and ability to develop and enforce rule sets for managing
  • Detail Focused with Ability to Build Checks and Balances for Control of Data
  • Ethical Conduct and Able to Deal with Conflicting Points of View and Interests
  • Customer/Client Service Focus with both Internal and External Customers
  • Ability to learn and adapt to changing environment of Processes and Procedures.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Three to Five Years of Compliance Management Experience in the physical security industry.
  • Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak the English language fluently and in a professional clear and concise
  • Moderate Excel programming skills complemented by proofing and validating
  • Moderate Word document creation, editing and publishing
  • Moderate PowerPoint presentation creation and editing
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check, credit check, Motor Vehicle Record check, and drug screening.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or Business Administration.
  • Three or more years as a Program Manager on a security contract or comparable operations support
  • Knowledge in the Federal Acquisition Regulations with experience in contract
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the components of training and compliance programs associated with Federal Protective Services (FPS), DoD, and other
  • Preference for individual who has participated in the start-up of a contract and understand the intricacies of contract transitions.
