This position is a grade 14 with a minimum of $49,575 and a mid-point of $66,100. Salary offer will be commensurate with the education/experience, in alignment with the College’s compensation philosophy, and the current CBA, if applicable.

Job Summary:
An employee in this classification performs work of moderate difficulty by being accountable for the oversight, development and maintenance of classification and compensation including position management, job analysis, and position classification and compensation analysis projects for all employee groups at the College. Direction is received by the assigned manager.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field, or a combination of education and experience.
- 3 years HR experience which includes establishing pay ranges and writing job descriptions.
- Experience in HR systems.
- Considerable analytical skills to conduct analysis and develop recommendations; demonstrates organizational skills and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of other areas of HR.
- Considerable skills in communicating clearly and effectively verbally and in writing and in integrating information in the completion of assignments.
- Working knowledge of and ability to interpret Federal, State, and Local rules and regulations related to Human Resources, Fair Labor Standards and Compensation.
- Ability to interpret and implement collective bargaining unit contracts.
- Good knowledge of Human Resource and Compensation processes and best practices using technology (HRIS/ERP).
- Considerable skill in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
- Working skill in managing databases; developing charts, tables and graphs.
- Working skill in prioritizing and organizing work, with interruptions.
- Demonstrate high attention to detail.
- Experience using Colleague ERP system preferred.
Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Essential Duties:
- Manages Korn Ferry/Hay process, setting schedule for review, working with managers to receive PDQs, and facilitating meetings.
- Performs job audits to determine the proper classification of new and existing classified positions.
- Properly documents results of position audits on appropriate forms and in online position description system.
- Performs analysis of compensation studies, requests for equity adjustment, requests for budget date for new positions.
- Analyzes and evaluates job descriptions, both new and revised, to determine appropriate Fair Labor Standard Act classification, salary range and pay grade levels based on both internal and external job and market pay comparisons.
- Develops and writes job descriptions to accurately describe job content.
- Develops and Evaluates Onboarding process for employees, insuring employees feel welcome, informed, and have the tools to complete their job effectively.
- Serves as point of contact on onboarding issues. Assists with offboarding duties, as needed.
- Compose and distribute correspondence for annual raises, reclassifications, new unit adjunct placement and other compensation/classification changes.
- Works with functional areas to provide tools and training to assist managers in creating and maintaining positions in the eTalent position description, and other compensation related topics.
- Coordinates all position management responsibilities including creation of new position codes, position control and general maintenance of data in the HRIS system. Discuss and analyze the correct classification of interim, temporary or contingent positions to meet the needs of managers.
- Maintains salary tables in Colleague and eTalent.
- Collaborates with HR partners to review and implement departmental reorganizations throughout the College. Includes developing task list for completion by other HR departments.
- Ensure proper adherence to collective bargaining agreements as it relates to the administration of compensation, job reviews and job reclassification programs and activities. Review and approve new hire compensation including placement of new unit faculty. Process lane movement in accordance to the ECCFA contract.
- Maintains an understanding of the work of colleagues to effectively provide backup and/or support for co-workers during times when the division is short-staffed or experiencing an increased volume of work. Serves as backup to the Talent Acquisition Specialist
