Wellness Within, Inc. is a mental health agency serving the residents of Richmond area. Wellness Within is seeking a Community Outreach Coordinator who will advance our agency proud tradition of providing services to individuals who constantly battle with the feelings of depression, anxiety, anger, emotional and behavior issues. We are seeking an individual that can build relationships with referral sources that have access to our client population that suffer from mental, emotional and behavioral challenges.

About Your Role:
As a Community Outreach Coordinator, you will be responsible for driving the vision, strategy, and implementation of our service deliverable to support Wellness Within business stability and growth. This position travels throughout the Richmond area to build partnerships with diverse businesses, nonprofits, city/state officials, and educates the public about our Wellness Within initiatives. This position will require engagement mostly in and around the Richmond community. This role requires that the person be organized, professional, and able to navigate within the community comfortably.
Work Environment:
The Community Outreach Coordinator will generally perform the job in the community and sometimes in the office.

Job Description:
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining long term relationships with potential referral resources and customers such as community agencies, non-profit organizations, schools, hospitals, social services, homeless shelters, housing authorities, therapist, physicians, etc. Building relationships with these referral sources that have access to our client population that suffer from a mental disorder.
  • Responsible for fostering and maintaining clear open communication with the management team with regards to your marketing efforts and outcomes weekly with status updates via email.
  • Responsible for developing and submitting a monthly report to the company owners regarding marketing activities.
  • Responsible for maintaining a database of all referral sources and developing and maintaining a follow-up system that will be reported to the owners on the outcomes of future business on a monthly basis.
  • Work closely with the Owners to ensure marketing documentation is consistent with marketing strategies and processes.
  • Responsible for creating initial screening forms and submitting the documentation to our Clinical Supervisor for review in order to make sure that potential clients are eligible for services.
  • Responsible for marketing efforts that will result in 5-10 approved clients per month.
  • Coordinates and explores, with ownership new areas for company expansion and growth.
  • Meets with every potential referral from community liaisons to perform pre-screening ensure client eligibility for services.
  • Develops an outreach plan with the direction from the Owners based on the needs of the community monthly and quarterly.
  • Maintain a list of all potential referrals to be submitted to the Owners to track status of each potential client.
  • Attends conferences/fairs, and other professional events to represent Entering Wellness and look for any potential areas for growth.
  • Be available to provide support to the clinical team, by effectively moving prospects through the intake process, when needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by owners.

Qualifications:
  • Three (3) plus years of experience working in community outreach or public health administration and partnership development in the Richmond area.
  • Valid Virginia Driver’s License.
  • A resident of the United States.
  • Knowledge of mental health and behavioral health industries.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an organization and with diverse community stakeholders, including volunteers, corporate sponsors, and major supporters.
  • Ability to travel and work some evenings and weekends if required for events.
  • Strong public speaking skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people and have a non-judgmental, accepting attitude toward people regardless of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, age, or appearance.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written; Bilingual a plus but not required.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $50,000-$55,000 salary plus bonus when company meets quarterly goals
