Community Life Director
Full Time
United Methodist Communities is currently seeking a Community Life Director for our Pitman Community.
Senior Living in Gloucester County at our UMC senior community in Pitman, New Jersey, is truly integrated into the life of the town. We are part of a beautiful residential neighborhood, near to highways and public transportation with easy access to both Philadelphia as well as the Jersey Shore.
The Community Life Director organizes, plans and directs community life to ensure that each person's needs and interests are met in a way that is purposeful and meaningful to the residents.
Requirements for a Community Life Director:
- Bachelors with major concentration in Rec, CATs or TR.
- 5 years in a senior healthcare environment with supervisory responsibilities.
Responsibilities for a Community Life Director:
- Plans, organizes and directs programming based on resident interest.
- Supervise Community Life Associates in the implementation of all planned and scheduled programs.
- Plans, prepares, and monitors Community Life budget.
- Purchases supplies or equipment needed for the department.
- Visits residents as needed.
- Maintains and initiates relationships/ contact with agencies.
- Maintains compliance with local, state, federal and community regulations and policies concerning the Community Life Programs.
- Provides/ensures adaptive programs, techniques, equipment material.
- Schedules staffing hours.
- Facilitates monthly Resident Council and maintains minutes.
- Promotes Community Life Program through various channels such as newsletters, calendar, in-house TV, flyers, etc.
- Ensure all assessments, documentation and calendars are completed timely.
