Work Location: USCG Headquarters, St. Elizabeth’s Campus, Washington, DC (Hybrid Remote)

Scope: The United States Coast Guard (USCG) Acquisition Directorate (CG-9) has a requirement for communication support services to include communication planning, technical writing, and editorial services; graphic support; website publishing and content management; as well as event planning, limited technical, administrative, and analytic support. Such services will primarily be in direct support to CG-9’s Office of Strategic Planning and Communication (CG-925).

Support will be provided for CG-9 missions with ongoing communication support for both internal USCG audiences and interested external audiences, including the public, journalists, and other United States Executive and Legislative departments. CG-925 also routinely supports communication efforts led by the Commandant's Advisory Group, Atlantic/Pacific Area Commanders, Deputy Commandant for Mission Support (DCMS), other headquarters and field elements, and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) elements as part of ongoing communications concerning CG-9 related activities. As they relate to CG-9 priorities, occasional support will be provided for these initiatives.

Required Qualifications:
  • The work required under this contract is team-oriented and complex, requiring a high level of technical competence and awareness of CG-9 program status details to produce acceptable deliverables for CG-9.
  • The Team Lead shall possess relevant experience and expertise across the broad communication functions, including at least five (5) years of experience planning, executing and supervising expert communication strategies, efforts and products for a major government program or similar entity.
Position Description:
  • USCG-CG-9 has determined that the Team Lead is key to the successful performance of this contract. The Team Lead shall be the single point of contact on contractual performance matters for the KO, COR, and Communication Team Lead.
  • The Team Lead is responsible for the timeliness and quality of all work and deliverables associated with this contract. The Team Lead shall take an active part in team performance and will provide all oversight and quality assurance required to accomplish duties for the presentation of professional work products meeting the requirements of the USCG. The Team Lead is solely responsible for managing the review, tasking, staffing, and workload distribution of the team, while also assisting in the maintenance, retrieval, tracking and storage of data.
  • While normal and customary for team members to coordinate and provide updates with CG-9 and CG-925 staff, the Team Lead is the primary point of contact for contractual communications and taskings related to this contract. The Team Lead is expected to be available to receive communications from the KO, CG-925’s Communication Team Lead and COR throughout the business day.

  • Minimum 5 years demonstrated relevant/qualifying experience within the Department of Defense (DoD).
