Job description

The position of Communications officer is an asset to Rostraver/ West Newton ES and Sewickley Community Ambulance. The Communications officer is responsible for answering emergency dispatch requests from Westmoreland County 911, Washington County 911, and Fayette County 911 and ensuring the closest appropriate unit responds. Additional duties include answering communication center phones for emergency requests from citizens, facilities, and clinics. The Communications officer is responsible for starting or completing patient care reports on EMSCharts. Additional duties may include communicating agency needs with management, employees, and other agencies.
