HDC is looking to hire and train a Hood Cleaning Technician for the Magic Valley and Elko, NV. . Excellent job growth/advancement opportunities available with tiered pay raises through certification training, and competitive wage increases.

Light travel is required. We service the Elko, Nevada area and all of Idaho. Expect to travel out of town 2-5 days a month.

Cleaning experience is required, but on-the-job training will be provided. Previous mechanical, electrical, HVAC, pressure washing, and grease removal experience is a plus. If you have cleaned commercial kitchen exhaust systems before or show competency, an automatic $1 raise will be given after the first month. This is primarily night work on Sunday through Thursday nights with hours that vary.

We work really well with schedules, appointments, and wanted/needed time off. At the end of every month we take request for days off for the following month.

Technician must:

Have experience with hot water pressure washers and be able to operate small engines

Have a valid Driver's License with a minimum of 3 years driving experience

Have personal transportation to and from office.

Have a good driving record that passes our insurance company’s requirements

Be willing to drive a company truck pulling a small cargo trailer to job sites.

Have a working cell phone and respond promptly to all calls from management

Have a professional appearance

Be dependable; able to show up on time, read and follow instructions

Be physically fit; able to climb ladders, able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. at times

Have excellent attention to detail, and be able to work quickly and efficiently

Be able to work flexible hours; nights, early mornings, and some weekends (rarely weekends)

Be able to work safely in both hot, cold, and/or inclement weather

Be able to complete work projects from start to finish with limited supervision

Be fluent in English; able to communicate well with customers and other team members

Be able to learn new procedures quickly to assist with the exhaust cleaning process

Job duties include:

The set-up and take-down of equipment including: hanging plastic sheeting, mixing chemicals, setting up ladders, using wet/dry vacuums, pre-sprayers, garden hoses, and high-pressure hoses

Pre-scraping greasy buildup from affected areas of kitchen exhaust systems

Pressure washing the interior of kitchen exhaust systems (fans, ducts, and hoods)
Final clean-up in kitchens by wiping down the hoods, mopping up the floors, etc.

Digital photography of all work performed at each job

Independent completion of work projects with limited supervision

Reporting mechanical deficiencies of customer and/or company equipment to management

Maintaining the cleanliness of company tools, equipment, and vehicles each night.

Training new crew members
