We are seeking Commerical Boiler Support Technician (Sales Application Engineer) with extensive experience in boiler installation and troubleshooting to support our sales team. We’re looking for a boiler installer/technician that has the experience and/or ability to be in front of customers as the boiler application expert!

This is a remote position.

Summary: This is a key technical support position on the national sales team. The primary role is to provide technical sales support to the Regional Sales Managers as they make sales calls on engineering firms, building owners, and large commercial contracting firms. This job requires having the ability to give technical presentations and to be the “subject expert” in all commercial hydronic discussions.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Is the technical product and hydronic application expert for the sales team
• Travels with the sales team and engages in technical presentations and technical discussions (Travel expected to be 30%)
• Needs to become the technical expert on HSSC’s commercial boiler products/technologies
• Creates technical sales presentations
• Provides technical training to the sales team
• Provides some amount of technical phone support to manufacturers’ representatives and key contractor customers
• Performs other related duties as assigned

The person we are seeking has: Extensive field service experience with many sizes/types of commercial water/steam boilers. Technical presentation and training experience within the commercial boiler marketplace. Most commercial boiler applications today are satisfied using condensing technology; this person preferably has some experience with condensing technology and must become a product expert on the HSSC commercial condensing brands.

• Trade school degree along with experience is desired. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 10 years of experience in the commercial hydronics marketplace as a technician/installer and/or trainer.
• Able to learn HSSC product details and compare to competitive products.
• Able to discuss the entire commercial boiler application including boilers, pumps, piping, venting along with other installation parameters.
• Strong executive presence: able to command respect as the knowledge expert in all presentation/discussion scenarios.
• Clear, concise oral and written communication skills.
• Effective time management skills and the ability to multitask.
• Expertise in Microsoft applications like PowerPoint
