Columbine's Geriatric Education Center specializes in teaching Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) courses. In just a short time, you can become a vital part of a healthcare team!

By becoming a member of our healthcare team, you have the opportunity to get paid while becoming a CNA! You will earn $15.00/hour during class, lab and clinical time.

As a student, you will gain an understanding of the responsibilities involved in working with residents/patients of all ages in both wellness and illness, mental health, residents'/patients' rights and family interactions. Class instructions will include:

• Basic nursing assistant procedures and skills
• Patient care
• General household activities
• Restorative services
• Safety and emergency care

This course includes 92 hours of classroom and clinical training which is required by the state to be licensed.

Employees of a Columbine skilled nursing facility, will be guaranteed a Nurse Aide role after successful completion of class, labs and clinicals.
