Web application Developer/Coldfusion

Location: Denver, CO

Duration: 12+ Months

Client: State of Colorado- OIT

· *Applicant must reside in Colorado *Hybrid schedule - One day a week in office

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Maintaining and updating existing application code

· Creating new web application pages

· Integrate ColdFusion web pages with REST APIs

· Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard applications using accepted industry practices and/ or organizational policies

· Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems

· Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics, where applicable

· Prototype and demonstrate solutions as necessary

· Ensuring responsiveness of applications

· Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards; software

· licenses; and applicable state and federal laws and regulations including data security, privacy, and intellectual property laws.

· Maintains current knowledge of best practices and emerging developments in web design, web development, and technology.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· At least 4 years Adobe ColdFusion application development (ColdFusion Builder and/or Eclipse)
Experience working with JAVA or any modern object oriented language
Proficiency with web technologies (HTML/CSS/JS)
Experience with Git
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Proficiency with Restful APIs
Familiarity with SQL database technology such as MySQL, Microsoft SQL, and DB2.

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required.
Equivalent progressive professional experience may be substituted for education experience.

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

• Denver, CO: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
