In this key role, you will have a tremendous impact on the Assembly portion of the operation. You will lead and mentor a diverse and motivated team of assemblers to build state of the art Light Rail, Coach cars and Locomotives. This is a position for someone who enjoys being on the production floor, leading by example and creating an environment where everyone wins.

What you will be doing:

Plan production operations, define workflow, and establish priorities and production sequences to meet project and interdepartmental requirements

Meet project targets for direct labor hours, schedule, and quality

Develop, monitor, and meet department budgets and business plans

Establish, monitor, and adjust manpower, applicable equipment planning and work-order sequencing to meet production demands.

Facilitate positive communication with entire team on a regular basis to keep them informed of work status, department performance, process changes, and company policies

Develop and maintain appropriate KPIs along with benchmarks and targets that provide a clear indication of department performance, performance trends, and potential problem areas

What you will need to be successful:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or Engineering

5 years managing industrial operations

3 years’ experience in production assembly operations, in a schedule driven, moderate volume and product mix, engineer to order, project environment

We would be impressed if you had:

5+ years of experience in capital equipment manufacturing

Broad knowledge of manufacturing processes including mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, crane lifting, material handling

Experience in Siemens Production System or equivalent Lean manufacturing

Experience with SAP or similar MRP system

The base salary range for this position in Sacramento, California is $80,900 - $110,000 and the annual incentive target is 5% of the base salary.
