Position Summary
Westminster College’s Center for Financial Wellness is looking for a part-time program coordinator to assist in managing the Center’s participation in the Salt Lake County EICAP/CO-OP programs. These programs match student consultants with small businesses owned and managed by underrepresented, low-income and minority households.

The program seeks to assist these businesses by offering short-term support in key areas, including bookkeeping, accounting and finance.
The program coordinator receives business referrals through the county as identified by Community Outreach Partners and matches them with available student consultants to assist in identifying the business’s needs and required levels of support.
The program coordinator also oversees the administrative aspects of the Center’s participation in the program and actively provides accountability, training and mentoring to the students consultants.
The position is a 12-month position and reports directly to the Director of the Center for Financial Wellness.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping, accounting and finance needs of small businesses
- Experienced in QuickBooks and Excel
- Excellent communication and follow-through skills
- Must be able to work independently while still open to input and direction
- Prepared to train and mentor student “consultants” working with small business owners
- Must be available for some evening and Saturday work as needed
- Coordinate the activities of student “consultants” as they work with small businesses
- Implement plans as instructed by Director and CO-OP (EICAP) Program
