The Vincent Bach Division of Conn-Selmer, Inc., located in Elkhart, IN, a manufacturer of brass instruments and Bach mouthpieces, is hiring full-time, skilled CNC Machine Operators for 2nd shift (2:00 pm - 10:00 pm). We offer our employees endless opportunities to advance their careers.

General Responsibilities:
- Responsible for daily operation of multiple CNC turning equipment in a fast-paced environment.
- Produce conforming parts within allotted time to meet production scheduling requirements
- Comply with all Vincent Bach policies and procedures
- Comply with all safety procedures ad PPE requirements
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area as per our 5S guidelines
- May be asked to help with other duties as needed to support the department
Specific Duties:
- Interpret instructions for making parts based on M.O., Setup Sheet and Inspection form.
- Load, Unload, deburr & inspect parts to ensure 100% conformance to print requirements
- Perform inspection as per documented procedures
- Identify process problems and effectively communicate to supervision and / or lead person
- Follow verbal direction from supervision and lead person
- Make machine adjustments as necessary
- Understand simple blueprints or instructions. Utilize various measuring instruments to inspect parts produced
- Run machines at recommended production speed
- Perform normal operator machine maintenance
- Set-up machines as required per documented guidelines
- Perform 1st piece inspection as per documented procedures
- Instruct Operator on how to age and inspect parts
- Operate machine when needed
- Other duties, as assigned
Pre-Determined Qualifications:
- Ability to set up CNC programs
- Must have 2 – 4 years in a production-machining environment
- Familiar with the set-up and running of CNC production mills or lathes
- High school diploma or GED / technical or vocational school training a plus
- Ability to use micrometers, pin gauges, calipers, rim cast, PLC
- Regular attendance
- Safety conscious
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift a maximum of 35 lbs. unassisted; occasional lifting over 35 lbs. with assistance
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Frequent bending/stooping, squatting/crouching, reaching
- Occasional pushing, pulling, fingering, grasping
- Exposure to noise and oils
- Ability to work alone, make judgments, perform repetitive work, perform under stress, and attain tolerance to set standards
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $28.00 per hour
