CNC Lathe Operator / Programmer

This is a full-time position, working 1stshift.

Silver Tool Inc is looking to hire an experienced CNC Lathe Operator. We offer competitive industry pay based on skills and experience with overtime opportunities. We are a First Shift Only shop and offer flexible hours to accommodate normal life issues. We are a family-owned business with modern equipment and up-to-date tooling.

We are looking for an individual who has some self-motivation since we are not a shop that micro-manages. You would be responsible for running a Smart Machine SL 20 and/or SL2000 Samsung CNC Lathe plus doing your own programming. We are looking for a candidate with experience on set up, operation and in-process inspection on their own work. Must be comfortable working with + or - .0005 tolerance. Ability to operate a variety of machines is a plus. Our work is job shop type parts with low volume.

Job Skills/Requirements:

• Turning a variety of materials including mild steel, tool steels, and aluminum
• Able to work in tight tolerances +/- .0005
• Inspect or measure finished workpieces
• Perform routine machine maintenance
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation
• Ability to work in metric and/or convert to standard
• Minimum of 5 years experience
• Able to interpret blueprints with standard GD&T symbols.
• Good communication skills
