Essential Job Functions:

· Set-up and operate gear shaping and hobbing machines

· Maintain clean and organized departments

· Analyze/interpret travelers and blueprints

· Line up tooling for machine production (leads kit with required tooling)

· Complete all paperwork to specifications

· Set-up vari-rolls for inspection

· Analyze prints and requirements to determine speeds and feeds

· Fill out first article sheets

· Know machines’ capabilities and limitations

· Make size changes accordingly

· When able, run multiple machines

Non-Essential Job Functions:

· Abide by company handbook regulations

· Set-up DIATEST for initial internal and helix gears

· Determine need for new cutter or re-sharpening

Skills/Requirements:

· Knowledge of DIATEST for internal and helix gears

· Ability to read and analyze blueprints

· Basic computer skills

· Ability to set-up/operate all department machines

· Moderate skills in mathematics

· Basic UTS software knowledge

· Ability to train on as needed basis

· Self-motivation

· Basic gear cutting/machine knowledge

· Ability to make machine corrections to enhance quality

· Minimum high school diploma or equivalent

· Five years experience in field

· Gear schools

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $29.00 per hour
