Job description
Assists with intakes, clients, caregivers, recruiting and onboarding. This individual may directly interface with clients regarding originating service plans. Primary duties include recruiting and onboarding caregivers keeping up to date with documentation and filing. Regularly works as a caregiver as part of client interfacing team. ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Essential job duties for this position include the following items. Other duties must be performed as assigned or required.
  • All Recruiting for Caregivers
  • Conducts interviews for applicants
  • Conducts all pre employment screenings for applicants
  • Answers the telephone and performs Intakes.
  • Orient caregivers and maintains current caregiver files in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Conducts hands on training for Caregiving staff.
  • Welcomes visitors, in person or on the telephone, answering or referring inquiries appropriately.
  • Visit prospective clients/clients after referrals are made to introduce FirstLight Home Care.
  • Fill shifts regularly when needed to fill in for schedule, and as training and mentoring for caregiver staff.
  • Understands and adheres to established FirstLight Home Care policies and procedures.
  • May perform initial and ongoing in-home evaluation, caregiver introductions and supervision of services.
  • Completes appropriate visit records in a timely manner as per FirstLight Home Care policy.
  • Reports changes in client condition to agency employees involved in client’s care.
Takes part in on-call rotation after hours and weekends to handle emergencies, scheduling issues, and client referrals and intakes. Performs continuing and on-going caregiver training.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Utilizes and maintains FirstLight Home Care computerized electronic platforms proficiently (ie. ClearCare, CRM program, etc)

To perform this job successfully, the individual in this position must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skills, abilities, certifications, and educational experience required. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • H.S. Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 2 years CNA or caregiver experience required.
  • Experience in home care or knowledge of the health care industry preferred.
  • Requires proficiency in computer skills including but not limited to Office, Excel and scheduling programs.
  • Have a sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick and elderly.
  • Ability to carry out directions, read and write.
  • Maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job.
  • Must possess and demonstrate excellent communication, leadership and organizational skills, customer service techniques, as well as a positive, professional, business image, and a creative mindset.
  • Must perform and manage multiple responsibilities concurrently and work well under pressure.

CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, & REGISTRATION
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and maintain valid auto insurance.
  • CNA certification required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to candidates, clients, and other employees of the organization.

REASONING ABILITIES
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
