Now Hiring - Clinical Therapist-Substance Abuse Counselor - Lowell, MA

CareOne at Lowell

The Clinical Therapist-Substance Abuse Counselor will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Design, implement, evaluate and modify program offerings to fit changing needs of
residents.
  • Provide substance abuse treatment both in group settings and individually as indicated.
  • Complete substance abuse assessments upon admission and as needed.
  • Develop and update resident care plans.
  • Complete required documentation.
  • Provide crisis intervention and supportive care when needed.
  • Attends assigned in services and staff team meetings.
  • Successfully complete and maintain Calming and De-escalation training.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
  • Assist residents and develop discharge plan with support services and resources upon
discharge from program.
Qualifications:

Position Requirements:


Substance abuse certification from accredited program.
Two years of substance abuse treatment experience.


Certification Required:
Substance abuse certification from accredited program.


Skills and Training:
Strong organizational skills are required
Crisis management skills
Exceptional written communication and customer service skills
Discharge planning skills
