An acute care hospital in Alabama is actively seeking a Nurse Director Emergency Services to join their growing team.

The Nurse Director Emergency Services will be employed by a national healthcare system, working at a community hospital in Alabama. The Nurse Director Emergency Services will work at a 350+-bed acute care hospital known for an array of services including their Emergency Department, Cancer Care, and Surgical team.

The Nurse Director Emergency Services will be accountable for overseeing all administrative and clinical operations over the 26-bay emergency department, and will be supported by a team of Nurse Managers, Educators, specialists, technicians and ancillary staff. Responsibilities of the Nurse Director Emergency Services include managing the department budgets, preparing for all upcoming accreditation and surveys, updating policy procedures, developing strategic short and long term growth initiatives, and cross collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Ideally, the Nurse Director Emergency Services should hold an active RN license, prior leadership experience, and a clinical background working in an emergency department.

The hospital is located in a city just over 59 miles northeast of Birmingham, Alabama, and 90 miles southwest of Chattanooga, Tennessee. The Nurse Director Emergency Services will work in an industrial town of around 35,000 residents.
