The Clinical Dietitian/ Clinical Dietitian Specialist I or II practices as an expert in the application of the nutrition process and theory within a specialty area. The primary responsibility of the Dietitian is to advance patient care directly in the role of expert clinical practitioner and indirectly in the roles of educator, consultant, and researcher.
Some potential responsibilities of a Clinical Dietitian/ Clinical Dietitian Specialist in this role include:

Conducting nutrition assessments and developing individualized nutrition care plans for clients with complex medical conditions or nutrition needs

Collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated and effective patient care

Providing education on nutrition-related topics and counseling on behavior changes to improve health outcomes

Serving as a consultant to other healthcare providers or community organizations on nutrition-related issues

Conducting research or quality improvement projects related to nutrition and patient care

Work Location: Washington, DC

Day Shift - Full time

As early as 7:00am - As late as 6pm

1.Requires a Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university.
2.Must be credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
3. Must obtain licensed as a Dietitian-Nutritionist in the District of Columbia.
4.Work requires knowledge of food science, biochemistry, physiology, management science, behavioral science and social science as applied to human nutrition, and basic knowledge of clinical research tools.
5. Will Consider multiple level of experience
