POSITION SUMMARY: Performs under the supervision of Dietary Director. Knowledge of nutrition sciences for nutrition therapy and ability to implement inpatient care plans. Knowledge of food service principles applying to all areas of food safety and sanitation.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 years experience in Healthcare Facility preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Current registration in the American Dietetic Association.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 25 pounds. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds, with assistance. Visual abilities, auditory abilities, must be intact to perform duties.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
