Ellie clinics are structured to remove many of the daily obstacles that get in the way of providing world-class mental health services. Ellie makes the clinician’s experience the BEST IT CAN BE by providing excellent compensation, benefits, training, and flexible schedules while also providing centralized administrative, technology, referral and inquiry support, scheduling, client/therapist matching, billing and collections, and even CEU programs. Ellie strives to LOWER THE ADMINISTRATIVE ASPECTS of providing care to the absolute minimum, so our practitioners have more time to focus on what they love - serving clients! The Clinic Director (CD) will be highly compensated (salary, commissions, and bonuses!) for accepting responsibility for the overall performance and operation of a practice composed of approximately 12-15 professional outpatient therapists. The total compensation range is $85,000 - $123,000.

The Fine Print: Education/Licensure:
  • Master’s Degree or higher in a behavioral health sciences or related field from an accredited college or university
  • Fully licensed mental health professional (e.g., Ph.D, PsyD, LMSW, LMFT, LPC) in Michigan for at least 5 years
Reporting & Supervision:
  • CD reports to local Franchise Owner
  • All clinic therapists report to the CD

Staff Management:
  • Oversee the hiring process for therapists at their clinics, including application review, interviewing, and onboarding in collaboration with HR/Management
  • Manage clinic staff's Paid Time Off (PTO) requests, expense reimbursement, and CEU requests
  • Review/sign staff documentation to ensure timely documentation completion and best practices to meet compliance standards
  • Provide Valant (EHR) training and ongoing support
  • Mediate escalated interpersonal employee issues and concerns
  • Implement Performance Coaching, Performance Improvement Plans, and termination process with HR/Management support
  • Conduct clinicians' annual Performance Reviews: renewing supervision plans annually at the time of review
  • Provide management meetings with all therapy staff to review productivity, caseload, and clinical documentation (licensed provider once monthly for an hour; non-licensed provider twice monthly)
  • Provide training, staff development, and administrative oversight to support the functioning of the clinic

Supervision & Consultation:
  • Minimum interval for licensed provider: One hour per month
  • Minimum interval for unlicensed provider: One hour twice a month
  • Oversee twice monthly peer consultation groups to ensure clinical excellence and align with best practices
  • Provide clinical oversight to clinic’s Mental Health Practitioners and Professionals, including signing clinical documentation for pre-licensed providers.
  • Participate in CD Peer Consult Group.
  • Track management meetings by use of 1:1 Check-in Note
  • Review and sign documentation of pre-licensed providers (i.e., ticketed treatment plans, diagnostic assessments, discharge summaries, etc.)
  • Provide clinical oversight to clinic's Mental Health Practitioners and Professionals congruent with state regulations and EMH policy
Client Care:
  • Evaluate mental health diagnosis, create, and implement a treatment plan, complete ongoing documentation including further diagnosis, treatment plan reviews, and case notes according to company policy
  • Utilize creativity in interventions to help clients achieve and exceed goals
  • Prepare and submit individual documentation for each session per company guidelines and protocol
  • Coordinate services with case managers, families, work personnel, medical personnel, other Ellie staff, and school staff as needed
  • Maintain clinical caseload of 15 hours per week
Clinic Oversight:
  • Collaborate with franchise owner and Ellie Mental Health (EMH) corporate staff (as needed) to implement strategies for fiscal and clinical efficiency
  • Monitor and manage clinic office schedules and office supplies
  • Provide timely response to concerns raised by clients, clinicians, and/or external stakeholders
  • Serve as point-of-contact for building management related issues or concerns
  • Collaborate with Marketing/Outreach to promote clinic visibility
  • Identify opportunities to improve client care, quality, and effectiveness
  • Serve as point of contact for building management related issues or concerns
  • Other duties as assigned or needed
Clinic Outreach, Marketing, and Networking:
  • Spearhead clinic’s community outreach and engagement efforts, in collaboration with franchise owner and consistent with guidance from Ellie Outreach Team
  • Collaborate with Ellie Marketing Team to promote clinic’s online visibility
  • Maintain and expand the clinic’s social media presence
Organizational Leadership:
  • Collaborate with franchise owner and Ellie Corporate Team to implement all required policies and procedures
  • Update clinicians on changes related to (EMH) operations (i.e., policy changes, HR regulations, Valant workflows, clinic updates, compliance expectations, etc.)
  • Identify opportunities to improve client care, quality, and effectiveness, and implement changes in collaboration with franchise owner
Technology:
  • Provide direction and support regarding Valant use and documentation best practices
  • Review and provide same day response to Instant Messages, and email items during work week
  • Respond to tech support requests of staff and escalate as needed to Ellie IT
  • Promote staff engagement on and support staff use of Microsoft Teams
