JOB DESCRIPTION:
St. Matthew Nursery School has an exciting opportunity for a patient, flexible and nurturing individual to join our team as a Teacher’s Assistant.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Understands center operations, policies, and procedures.
Assist in creating a safe environment where children can play and learn
Implements group size limits and primary caregivers' responsibilities.
Completes all academic and classroom paperwork, such as student incident reports, and attendance reports.
Supervise children during all activities
Assist in implementing classroom lessons plans, programs, and schedules
Assists Lead teacher as needed throughout the day and maintain routine if the teacher is absent
Helps children with meal times and clean-up
Cultivates positive relationships with families, team members, and community contacts.
Participates in mandatory staff meetings and completes annual training requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must meet all requirements stipulated by the state for this position
Classroom experience a plus
Nurturing/friendly demeanor
Dependable and professional
High school diploma or equivalent
Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential strongly preferred
Must be COVID-19 vaccinated or willing to be vaccinated
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children in a group setting
