A New Jersey-based health services organization is currently seeking an experienced IT professional to join their staff as their new Chief Information Officer. In this role, the Chief Information Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day management of IT including project management, stability, security and support of all technology services and systems for the organization.

***This is a Hybrid opportunity requiring the qualified professional to work onsite a few days a week.***

Responsibilities:

The Chief Information Officer will:
  • Provide day–to-day management and guidance of the IT functions entrusted with the operation, project management, stability, security and support of all technology services and systems
  • Oversee IT and technology services provided across the organization’s communities, departments and associates, including servers, networks, telecommunications, applications and databases
  • Ensure that the IT Strategic Plan is reviewed an updated on an annual basis and all aspects of implementation initiatives
  • Prepare annual operating and capital IT budgets and monitor all aspects of day-to-day IT spending
  • Plan for the implementation and budgeting of various IT applications, back up, recovery and/or replacement projects for the organization
  • Interface with customers regarding IT concerns including normal computer operations, data import, export, report generation and customization.
  • Communicate directly with the CEO on a regular basis and participates in regularly scheduled meetings.
  • Provide leadership to the IT staff, delegates tasks to them and assists them in meeting their goals.
  • Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of IT experience in a Senior and/or Management experience within the Healthcare industry
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Prior experience in a Chief Information Officer (CIO) or equivalent position
  • Good hands-on and broad technology knowledge and experience that would include software and application development; IT infrastructure architecture and operations; IT project management; and the development of digital/consumers facing products services and applications.
  • Experience in introducing consumer healthcare related products, services & technologies in areas, including: Residential Security & Health Monitoring Technologies; Health Applications; and Home/Residence IoT connected solutions
  • Broad experience in Vendor Management, including outsourced providers of aspects of IT services
  • Excellent knowledge of Cloud Computing, Networks and Telecommunications Provisioning
  • Solid problem solving and time management skills
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Management, and/or a related field
  • Prior experience in a CIO and/or equivalent position
