Balazs Nanoanalysis is a contract analytical laboratory owned by Air Liquide Electronics is world-wide leader in supplying gases, specialty chemicals and services to a wide variety of industries. Balazs Nanoanalysis operates analytical labs around the world serving both internal and external clients. We support clients in a wide array of industries including semiconductor, biotechnology, aerospace/defense industry, solar, energy storage, automotive and many others. Our highly-skilled chemists assist other scientists and engineers from companies in these fields to support a wide array of activities such as quality assurance, contamination studies, R&D and failure analysis.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Our Materials Analysis Laboratory, which specializes in the VPD (Vapor-Phase Decomposition) and DSE (Drop Scan Etch) techniques, is looking for a highly skilled Chemist. This Chemist will perform sample preparations on OEM parts, wafers and other samples, using VPD or DSE technique. You must be capable of routinely performing sample preparation, running ICP-MS instruments and performing preventative maintenance and will also be responsible for evaluation, interpretation, and verification of analytical data and reporting results. You will need to be proficient in computer skills such as LIMS, Pilgrim, Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. Be ready to work in an exciting, fast-paced and dynamic environment and be part of an enthusiastic team passionate about providing quality data and answers to our customers in a timely manner.

• Perform preventative maintenance on different types of instrumentation and maintain documentation.

• Responsible for evaluation, interpretation, verification and reporting of analytical data.

• Send out routine reports.

• Responsible for routine lab supplies, reagents and analytical standards..

• Willingly serve on Safety, 5S and other committees.

• Complies with the established Quality System and reports quality deficiencies.

• Limited customer communication.

• Performs routine and limited non-routine analyses and other lab procedures as required.

• Retrieve, move and connect/disconnect cylinders for the purpose of analysis

• Good problem solving skills, innovative and resourceful

• Work safely at all times and ensure a safety culture and a safe working environment in the laboratory.

Working schedule: M-F 12:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Requirements

• BS in Chemistry or Similar Science with 1+ year experience with or MS in chemistry or Similar Science

• Semiconductor or Materials Analysis experience is preferred

• VPD or DSE instrumentation experience is preferred

Physical Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 40 lbs or more with help.

The Salary rate range for this position in California is $80,000.00 to $85,000.00
