JOB TYPE:

Full-time, W2- 2 year contract; possible extension

Columbus, OH

JOB SUMMARY FOR CHEMIST:

• We are seeking an entry level Chemist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an AS degree with 1-2 years of experience, or a BS in Chemistry fresh grad. This role will require a candidate with excellent wet bench skills, experience using pH meters, and conducting titrations. The candidate should have a solid understanding of analytical theories.
• Pay range: $15-$17/ hour.

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR CHEMIST:

• Conduct routine analysis of samples using various wet bench techniques.
• Perform sample preparation, including weighing and measuring samples, and handling hazardous chemicals.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including pH meters, titrators, balances, and spectrophotometers.
• Analyze and interpret data, prepare reports, and present findings to colleagues and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and follow laboratory safety protocols.
• Keep accurate records of experiments, test results, and laboratory procedures.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE FOR CHEMIST:

• AS degree with 1-2 years of experience or a BS in Chemistry fresh grad.
• Familiarity with wet bench skills, including pH meters and titrations.
• Some understanding of analytical theories.
• Ability to follow laboratory procedures and safety protocols.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS FOR CHEMIST:

• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Willingness to learn new techniques and skills.
