Hiring an Analytical Chemist for a great scientific company in Rancho Cordova, CA!! MUST HAVE experience with ICP-MS. (6 months to a year at least)

M-F day shift, great culture and environment!!

Description:

Environmental wet chemist will be able to run ion chromatography, ph, cyanide testing. Will manage work flow for 3 people under them, will revise SOP once a year, order lab supplies, schedule maintenance. Will work with spectrophotometer.

1. Perform operations necessary for sampling, analysis and testing, using methods and apparatus provided.

2. Perform all work in accordance with safety rules and regulations and participate in facility health & safety activities as assigned.

3. Ensure all relevant quality requirements are consistently met according to the QC manual and SOPs.

4. Ensure knowledge of QA/QC requirements and compliance respective to their area

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

The duties of the include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Recording laboratory sample results, input into appropriate database or spreadsheets.

2. Verifying that all process and service standards are met.

3. Verifying that calibration and quality control criteria are maintained.

4. Assisting in maintaining the conformance of assigned process to specifications and assist analysts in the performance of their duties.

5. Monitoring and documenting process parameter as assigned.

6. Communicating test results and observations to operations and management to maintain process and service conformance.

7. Verifying quality of raw materials, as required.

8. Supporting process and service tests/trials as assigned.

9. Preparing purchase requisitions for supplies/materials needed for their work area.

10. Supporting all other duties assigned by Supervisor or Chemist.
