Opportunity

We are looking for a Channel Manager on the Professional Channel Marketing Team to support Kohler’s third party eCommerce business through wholesale customers. We are a customer-centric organization and we are looking for a passionate, accountable individual to plan, execute, and analyze digital marketing strategies and tactics.

The Channel Manager, eCommerce is responsible for developing and implementing the long and short-term marketing strategies to increase market share with key Professional Channel eCommerce customers. This involves managing the development, coordination, and implementation of merchandising, marketing plans, strategies, promotions, and programs. They coordinate timing and creative messaging of key marketing initiatives in accordance with eCommerce capabilities to increase market share and drive to profitability targets. Upon execution of key marketing tactics this role will be responsible to evaluate results and share key learnings and insights within Kohler and with our eCommerce partner.


Specific Responsibilities

  • Function as a leader in all facets of eCommerce business; understands channel and own business results.
  • Deliver eCommerce business sales plans & update forecasts at total/category level.
  • Support Kohler by ensuring that marketing strategies and plans are executed to achieve financial plan while avoiding unnecessary and avoidable costs.
  • Contribute to the growth and profitability of the eCommerce business through development and implementation of short-term marketing plans and long-term strategies.
  • Lead all marketing and media activities with third party eCommerce customers.
  • Exhibit a higher level of gracious living by aligning development and implementation of strategies and plans to customer’s needs and desires.
  • Work with team to drive omni-channel marketing strategies, leading strategic growth and market leading innovation and insights.
  • Analyze POS to determine the success of marketing strategies and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and optimize digital content to showcase and promote Kohler products and campaigns in eCommerce channel.
  • Responsible for attaining appropriate marketing and sales metrics for all marketing initiatives.
  • Accountable for management of the Professional Channel eCommerce marketing budget. Plan and measure digital marketing return on investment to optimize spend.

Collaboration and Team Management

  • Collaborates with Digital Merchants, 3rd Party eCommerce, Shopper Marketing, and Category Strategy Teams to align on eCommerce and Business needs, focused on growing assigned categories and key marketing campaigns with Professional Channel eCommerce.
  • Works closely with Professional Channel National Account Management teams to align on eCommerce requests related to marketing and media campaigns.
  • Works regularly with the Performance Marketing organization to test, learn, and analyze all marketing tactics.
  • Understand trends and competition (product, pricing, promotions, sales) and make recommendations to develop and introduce new products to drive sales and gain share.
  • Works closely with the Communications organization to ensure content and creative delivers against our eCommerce commitments for speed and quality.
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Finance on Demand Planning and Promotional Planning to ensure appropriate supply to support marketing investments.
  • Be a leader in cross functional alignment and collaboration, exceeding expectations in communication on project updates as well as guiding projects with business units to support eCommerce sales initiatives.

Skills/Requirements

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field.
  • 5+ years of digital marketing and/or merchandising experience at a retail or eCommerce company with progressively more responsibility and a proven track record of successful results.
  • Cross functional experience.
  • 3+ years of strategic planning and/or budgeting experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, think creatively, innovate and plan with attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred:

  • MBA/MS degree

Travel

  • Travel to trade shows, customer visits and training as needed, approximately 15%.
