Certified Weld Inspector
Peoplelink Staffing Solutions in partnership with a prominent client in Elkhart, IN within the manufacturing industry.
Certified Weld Inspector Job Summary:
· $27 - $30/hr
· 6 am - 4 pm M - Th, flexible
· Inspection on mig and tig welded products in a fabrication environment
· Utilize magnification and stress equipment to ensure the products meet specifications and quality standards according to blueprints
· Ensure the weld machines are set up and operating correctly
· Approve the welding techniques of welders to guarantee the quality of the work
· Perform required tests as dictated by AWS D1.1
Certified Weld Inspector Qualifications:
· HS diploma or Equivalent
· Weld Certification AWS CWI (independent of employer, as dictated by the aerospace industry)
· Three years minimum experience or career technical training
· AS9100 Quality compliance, understanding and commitment
· Ability to read blueprints, basic math, metallurgy and a basic understanding of electricity
· Steel toed/metatarsal safety shoes as required
