• Full Time

POSITION QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree: Medical Assisting Certificate/Diploma
• Education: Completion of a Medical Assistant Program through Military Training or an accredited program through one of the following:
  • Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP)
  • The Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES)
  • Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC)
  • Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS)
  • Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS)
• Certification: Current Medical Assistant Certification through one of the following:
  • American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
  • American Medical Technologists (AMT)
  • American Registry of Medical Assistant (ARMA)
  • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
• Additional Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) hands on certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Experience: Possess a minimum of one year of full-time experience in the last three years as a CMA in an outpatient family practice or primary care setting.
• U.S. Citizenship: Shall be a U.S. citizen

• English Language Requirement: Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate.
• Physical Capability: Shall be physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time and physically capable of performing all services required under the contract.

HOURS:

Jacksonville:

• Monday through Friday between the hours of 0600 and 1800. Schedules are 8 to 10 hour shifts with an uncompensated 30-to-60 minute meal break, respectively.
• In no instance shall the HCWs provide services in excess of 80 hours per 2-week period.

Mayport:

• Services shall be provided Monday through Friday between the hours of 0700 to 1700.
• Saturday and holidays between the hours of 0730 and 1230.
• It is anticipated that each Health Care Worker shall provide services every other Saturday and work no more than 5 federal holidays.
• Shifts are generally scheduled for an 8.5 or 9-hour period with an uncompensated 30-to-60 minute meal break, respectively.
• In no instance shall the HCWs provide services in excess of 80 hours per 2-week period.

Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must be able and willing to reprioritize on short notice and work on multiple simultaneous projects. Flexible and able to work with various personalities. Team-work skills required. Time management skills required. The ability to meet deadlines in a deadline intensive environment is essential. High level of adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
