Looking for a change of pace and working in a office setting M-F from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. This will also include every other Saturday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Our office is looking for a reliable and Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for both Internal Medicine and esthetic Medicine to care of our patients in a professional and considerate manner. You will work under the supervision of a PA and MD. CMA professionals must be first and foremost qualified and compassionate. This candidate must be highly energetic and personable. The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing diverse basic care to those who need it while remaining patient and calm. This job is in a busy office setting where we treat adults 18+. This candidate must have great communication skills and be ready to discuss what we do here in our practice.

This employee will also have the opportunity to make commission on any esthetic packages sold as well as other portions of the practice.

Responsibilities

• Must have atleast 1 year experience in a office setting
• Must be extremely organized and punctual.
• Record a patient’s medical history accurately.
• Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc.
• Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc
• Administer injections, assist the physician with the patients
• Be able to communicate with clients and patients in regards to what their healthcare goals are
• Skilled in phlebotomy
• Collect samples for lab testing as assigned.
• Be versed in communicating with vendors and outside contacts
• Answer patient calls as well as able to assist the providers with patient needs
• eCW experience is a plus but not required
• Communicate with patients’ family or friends to provide information as needed.

Skills

• Proven experience as CMA or similar role (2+years)
• Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team
• Punctual
• Familiarity with health, safety and sanitation standards and procedures
• Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices
• Excellent skills in EMR/EHR and email and eager to learn
• Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology
• Good knowledge of MS Office and data entry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable and dependable transportation
• Compassionate and able to handle challenging clients
• Must be able to follow and take directions

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $16.50 - $19.00 per hour
