AHI is hiring Clinical Dietary Manager Consultants. Are you tired of working for the same site? Do you have leadership qualities and want to test your ability to help others learn and grow? Then we are the company for you. We are looking for self starters that can work with our clients to help their dietary departments.

The CDM Consultant is responsible for engagements with our clients as follows;

PRINCIPLE TASKS

Operations Management

  • Function as an advisor for health care facilities
  • Maintain current on professional standards
  • Provide professional, quality-driven services, education, research, analysis of healthcare systems and processes, creative problem-solving and recommendations, and written presentations to clients
  • Assist clients with assessing, planning, developing and implementing systems, processes, and other needs as requested
  • Consult and provide technical or interim management assistance to providers as requested by the client
  • Identify training needs; plan and conduct training/in-services as requested
  • Recruit, interview, hire, train, coach, evaluate, reward, discipline, and when necessary, terminate employees
  • Develop work schedules to ensure adequate staff to cover each shift
  • Create and monitor budgets for a cost-effective program
  • Manage revenue-generating services
  • Use forecasts, food waste records, inventory, and equipment records to plan the purchase of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Justify improvements in the department design and layout
  • Work cooperatively with clients, facility staff, physicians, consultants, vendors, and other service providers

Food Safety

  • Assure safe receiving, storage, preparation, and service of food
  • Protect food in all phases of preparation, holding, service, cooking, and transportation, using HACCP Guidelines
  • Prepare cleaning schedules and maintain equipment to ensure food safety
  • Ensure proper sanitation and safety practices of staff

Education Requirements

  • Graduate of Dietary Manager’s Program, 2-yr, or 4-yr foodservice program
  • Successful completion of CDM Credentialing Exam with active certification status
  • Two years’ experience in foodservice management; prior experience in healthcare foodservice is preferred
