Colonial Manor Nursing Home a 37-bed skilled nursing facility in Lakefield, MN is looking for a Dietary Manager. Prefer someone with employee/supervisory relations, teamwork, and demonstrated leadership skills. The position would also help serve as a backup in the kitchen if needed. We are a small community with big hearts and are looking for an individual focused on resident centered approaches and helping us create a wonderful dining experience for our residents. If you are not certified we are willing to train the right individual and get you certified!

Responsibilities

• Assists in organizing, planning, directing and supervising functions and personnel within the dietary department
• Plans and directs regular and therapeutic menus
• Assists in purchasing and storage procedures of food and supplies
• Participates in Resident Care Plan, Care Conferences, QA Committee, Department Head and other meetings as may be required
• Plans special meals for parties, events, etc.
• Visits each resident, upon admission and periodically, to evaluate food service, develop food and nutritional history data, explain diet requirements and to determine likes and dislikes to promote better food service
• Inspects dietary department regularly to ensure that department is safe and sanitary
• Prepare a Nutritional Assessment on each resident and place in chart; begin special supplements and suggest diet changes to the physician as needed
• Assure that all diet changes or modifications are instituted as swiftly and efficiently as possible and that both the resident and staff understand these changes

Qualifications

• Must be a team player with excellent communication skills and be able to communicate with management, residents, and families.
• Must possess leadership responsibility and the willingness to cooperate with other department heads
• Supervisory experience strongly preferred
• Positive Attitude and motivation to ensure resident satisfaction
• Excellent organizational skills and able to prioritize work accordingly

Pay: $38,000.00 - $46,000.00 per year
