Objective: Deliver quality feed that meets expectations of our shareholders and producers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Complete a pre-trip check to ensure safety of the vehicle
- Review physical addition of decking in trucks to ensure a safe environment
- Safe operation of pick-up with trailer or semi with trailer
- Follow all industry standards
- Compile with DOT standards for logbooks and adequate logs for billing purposes
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS
- Other duties assigned
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Education: 2 year degree or high school education preferred
Experience: 2 years of livestock transportation a plus but not required
Work
Environment:
Operation of a semi-tractor trailer combination during all seasons and times of the day.
Noise levels that require hearing protection in some areas
Physical
Requirements:
Standing, walking and ability to be on feet 8 to 10 hours per day
Frequent bending, reaching, squatting and kneeling
Frequent use of one or both hands/arms to grasp or pull
Additional
Requirements:
Must have reliable transportation to get to work and a valid CDL.
