Glanbia Performance Nutrition (GPN) is the Global leader in Sports Nutrition. The Performance Nutrition division has acquired and/or developed an impressive portfolio of brands, including Optimum Nutrition, Slim-Fast, BSN, Amazing Grass, Think!, Isopure, ABB, and Body & Fit.

We are hiring a Category Manager who will be responsible for category leadership in key GPN channels (Mass, Drug, Value, Club) and group of customers (Target, Walgreens, CVS, Costco). You’ll help us ensure that our category leadership position is upheld with category and shopper insight that drives the commercial performance GPN’s brands and our retail partners’ categories.

Supports sales team in the sell in and execution of AMPSs (assortment/merchandising/pricing/shelving guidance) for selected channels/customers.
Assist the director of category management in the development of Glanbia’s best practices and ensure a contemporary approach to the market/category with your peers in sales and marketing.
Develop channel specific best in class planograms based on custom market structure and in store testing research. Activate channel level POGs at a retailer specific level during line reviews and other partnership opportunities
Gather & utilize intelligence of product categories, segments, sub-categories, types, sizes/formats, pricing, product sales information, competitive products and sales information
Integrate Category Management & Shopper Insights into Customer Marketing and Brand Marketing materials, including providing insights and solutions that address assortment, merchandising, pricing and shelving.
Engage and share key insights directly alongside trade marketing and sales, with top customers that help inform management of annual JBP and identify opportunities for future joint value creation.
Work with the insights and analytics group to mine shopper data to help deliver comprehensive, compelling category stories
Ensures Top Customer representation in the BU Sales Planning development of Channel Strategies Commercial & Category Playbooks
Provides customer data and insights that informs BU Sales & Customer Planning’s understanding of customer shopper, strategies and help identify mutual distribution, shelving, merchandising, and pricing opportunities.

The Skills you will bring to the team
Bachelors/University degree required
5+ years Category Management in North America within the consumer packaged goods industry
Exposure to multiple retail classes of consumer packaged goods retail channels – E-commerce, Mass, Club, Grocery, Specialty/Department, Dollar, Drug – is an asset
