Role Description:

The role of the caseworker is to ensure that all physical and basic needs of DASH residents are met. This includes ensuring that all residents are connected to medical, dental, spiritual, educational, career-preparatory, and other local community resources as needed. This role serves to ensure that we are providing the relief DASH residents need while welcoming them into DFW and the United States, helping them adjust to life in America.

Role Responsibilities:

Meet with each resident or resident family unit at least once per month, completing monthly check-in forms (this includes hosted residents).

Maintain an organized running to-do list for each assigned resident, and provide updates to residents and supervisor regarding steps taken to complete to-do items.

Communicate with community resources regarding ongoing or new partnerships. This includes medical and dental clinics, clothing closets, educational resources and local schools, and other community resources for needs as they come out.

Conduct an initial assessment for new residents within 7 days of arrival into the program, and conduct 6 month review assessments to help collect board-requested data.

Complete Individual Service Plans (ISP) for each family unit every six months.

Empower residents to schedule necessary appointments and connect with resources independently where possible.

Provide applications to residents for local applicable programs, providing translation or other support as needed.

Assist with grocery deliveries as needed on Thursdays from 10-11 AM.

Communicate and coordinate service deliveries with other case workers and supervisors.

Conduct bimonthly supply drop-off days from the supply closet.

Attend weekly staff meetings on Mondays from 10-12 PM, as well as Sunday Suppers on the 4th Sunday evening of each month (5-7PM).

Attend all DASH quarterly events.

Work with the Associate Executive Director to determine if all resident needs are being met.

Provide minimal transportation assistance for residents as needed.

Assist residents with a set graduation date on creating a graduation plan, including looking for apartments, setting up electricity and Wifi, and job searching.

Conduct post-graduation interviews within 2 weeks of graduation for each resident to gather data.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $39,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
