Job Duties
- Perform general carpentry work
- Install glass in windows, doors, and partitions
- Replace damaged ceiling tile, floor tile and other damaged material
- Repair roofs (rubber, shingle, and built-up asphalt)
- Build custom cabinets
- Operate woodworking machines to saw, plane, drill, or mortise lumber for doors, cabinets, shelves, molding, and related fixtures
- Assist in estimating the amount of required lumber and supplies for projects. Select the type of lumber and material necessary.
- Build forms for concrete work as required
- Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent and one year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Must have physical condition conductive to performance of labor tasks such as bending, carrying, reaching overhead, lifting as much as 50 pounds, climbing ladders, climbing, or being lowered on scaffolding to five stores in height
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Five years of experience in carpentry related field
- Experience in cabinet work, door building, and installing windows
- Experience in concrete work is helpful
