Rate of Pay Range: $20-$23.50 depending on relevant experience.
Position Overview:
The Residential Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for assisting individuals with disabilities in leading self-directed lives and contributing to the community. The DSP assists with activities of daily living, and encourages attitudes and behaviors that enhance community inclusion. A DSP will also act as an advocate for the individuals in communicating their needs, self-expression and goals. The DSP is responsible for communication with staff and among departments regarding relevant information pertaining to the individuals’ health, needs and other concerns. The DSP is flexible to work a variety of different shifts including nights, weekends and overnights.
Duties:
· Respect each resident’s rights within the program and treat all clients with dignity and respect at all times.
· Report changes in the health or status of the individual.
· Respond to emergency situations.
· Assist with personal care such as showering, bathing and toileting.
· Provide support with hobbies, studies, and social activities.
· Transport and support out in the community: outings/field trips, and shopping.
· Assist with daily living skills including meal preparation and assist with medication administration.
· Provide guidance on a range of developmental goals from community participation, household budgeting, exercise, nutrition, and supporting vocational responsibilities.
· Support persons served with living skills such as personal hygiene, grooming, toileting and/or bathing.
· Household duties.
· Provide mobility and transfer assistance, which may include using mechanical lift devices.

Education Requirements:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
Successful completion of Certified Nursing Assistant/Aide training preferred.
Other Requirements:
A criminal and Motor Vehicle record which meets company standards.
A valid Colorado Driver’s license.
Verified legal status to work in the United States.
