Job description

I'm looking for 1-2 compassionate and caring caregivers to assist with my daily living. I'm a 32 year old physically disabled man with muscular dystrophy. Your duties would include personal care (bathing, grooming, etc.), transferring, food prep/assistance with meals and help getting out into the community and going to medical appointments. Some of my interests include video games, movies, building PCs, going to museums and nature trails. This is an in-home position so I would be your only patient. A great sense of humor would be an added plus!

Requirements:
- Great moral and work ethic
- Able to lift me (about 85 lbs.)
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
- Must pass a criminal background check
- CPR/First Aid and Recipients Rights certifications (free classes offered)
- Must not be intimidated by a trach and ventilator

Ideally I'm looking for someone for 2-5 days a week, up to 8 hours a day. Specific days and hours will be discussed, I'm flexible! Pay is $16/Hr. and is through a fiscal intermediary called Community Alliance.
