Campground Maintenance
Job description
We are looking for someone who loves to work outdoors, has great customer service skills, and takes pride in everything they do. The main duties of this position include, escorting guests to their campsites on a Golf Cart , guiding their vehicle onto their site using had and voice signals, and checking back in with the guest to ensure that they got settled properly in their site and have everything that they need. Also cleaning of R.V. sites on a daily basis after the guest's have checked out, this includes picking up garbage, cleaning firepits's. Light maintenance responsibilities would include mowing, weed eating, campsite clean up, and other tasks as needed or directed.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
· Perform basic carpentry, electrical and plumbing repairs, and maintenance to campground buildings, facilities, equipment and grounds as directed by the Campground Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor or the owner(s).
· Implement daily, weekly and monthly maintenance and cleaning programs as instituted by the Campground Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor or the owner(s), including the pool/spa, lawn mowing, weed eating, landscaping, garbage pick-up, propane pumping, game machine, laundry servicing and various other campground equipment upkeep.
· Comply with all KOA, federal, state and local safety programs by adhering to established guidelines in the operation and storage of various equipment, tools, and chemicals, ensuring your safety, as well as that of fellow staff and campground customers.
· Provide superior customer service by being attentive, responsive and helpful to guests needs. Report all customer problems, requests or complaints to the Campground Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor or the owner(s).

· Campground buildings, facilities and grounds are well-maintained and fully operational.
· Projects are completed properly, safely and timely.
· Demonstration of a positive attitude with guests, management, and team members.
· Use of safe work practices for a secure work environment for staff and campground guests.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
· Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing equipment and installation
· Basic knowledge of chemical properties, handling, and usage
· Basic knowledge of propane and gasoline dispensing
· Valid Driver’s License
· Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
· Capable of working independently and as part of a team
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, lift and carry 25 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds regularly
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance
· Long periods of standing
· Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, crouch and climb
· Must be able to operate various loud and vibrating maintenance tools and equipment
- Requires the use of hands/fingers to handle or feel
- Able to travel by auto
· Able to work inside and outdoors frequently and in various climates
· Capable of moving safely over uneven terrain
Additional Details
- We sell, prepare, cook, and deliver pizzas here on site so Safe Food Handling knowledge is a bonus.
- We also expect any possible candidate to be willing to help out in other areas of the Campground as needed or as directed by Management.
- Including cleaning restrooms and bath houses
- Including cleaning cabins and lodges
- Including delivering ice and firewood to our campers on their sites
- Including escorting guest to their sites on the campground after they finish the registration process and ensuring that they get settled and have everything that they need
- Including mowing grass with either a push mower or a riding mower
- Including trimming grass/weeds with either an electric or gas powered trimmer
