CAD Drafter
Job description
CETEC Cereal Teachnologies, Inc. is an emerging leader in engineering and manufacturing for the milling and food-processing industries globally. Located at our brand new headquarters in Glen Burnie, MD, we are searching for an experienced drafting engineer in AutoDesk and AutoCAD.
This position will support multiple projects and tasks as directed by the Engineering Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Record and track the status of tasks provided in correspondence to specific projects.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing team members to complete tasks based on project timelines.
- Prepare written communications regarding engineering and project material to suppliers.
- Attend weekly meetings with engineering and manufacturing team to discuss and review weekly assignments.
- Meet the design intent of our contracted scope of work by utilizing customer exchange.
- Maintain an understanding of all the materials and hardware used to manufacture the approved scope of work.
- Log and annotate all project drawings and include reports and drawings for engineering manager and manufacturing team members.
- Effectively manage time and prioritize assigned tasks.
- Utilize AutoCAD & Autodesk to draft and detail assigned work.
- Ensure all documentation is available and without error.
- Responsible for employing quality control processes to ensure all required aspects of the project are carried out properly and completed.
- Familiarity in 3D drafting is preferred.
Key Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional experience for AutoDesk CAD, Inventor, Revit, Fusion360 experience.
- Experience in plant layout and milling-flows design.
- Certificate or equivalent degree in Drafting or CAD.
- Mechanical engineering background preferred.
- Strong inclination toward mathematics.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently.
- Exceptional written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to travel and work overtime if needed.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $45,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
