Job Summary

The Cad designer is a hands-on, active role in the manufacturing process that will spend time working with the production team on the plant floor. The Cad designer will be responsible for designing tooling, Jigs, and part fixtures for Vacuum Metalizing and a variety of different part coating applications. Experience in sheet metal design is a plus, but not required. The specific position will be working directly with customers to design tooling that best fits the application.

Requirements

· You will be required to manage all data transfers, and designs in accordance with company policy.

· Associates degree in Drafting and design/Cad

· 2 plus years work experience in CAD related field

· Proficient in both 2D and 3D Cad software.

· Must be able to mange multiple projects at once.

· Ability to work independently.

· Good time management and organizational skills.

· Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

· Creating detailed 2D and 3D designs for manufacture

· Manage all design and revisions for all projects

· Estimate materials req’d for each project.

· Develop and maintain design documents including internal/external standards

· Create and update database of design records for future reference purpose

· Work closely with customers to exchange math data and design ideas
