Job Description

The Delivery Driver will load cabinets into atruck, drive to client’s location, and unload the truck. Positive communication with clients is important in this role. You will also assist the assembly team in the warehouse during slow delivery periods

What You Will Do:

Delivery

  • Load cabinets into company truck, including strapping them down
  • Drive truck containing cabinets to client location while following all traffic laws
  • Unload cabinets from company truck
  • Drive empty truck back to company location
  • Communicate effectively with clients and coworkers
  • Maintain all equipment used on the job, including delivery vehicle
  • Carry out vehicle inspection daily, before use
  • Report any problems with vehicle immediately and fill out proper documentation
  • Notify management immediately of any problems with equipment or other observed safety risks
  • All other duties as assigned

Cabinet Assembly

  • Complete built cabinet boxes by installing drawer slides, accessories, completed doors, drawer boxes and fronts
  • Set up and operate woodworking machines
  • Use handheld tools, power tools, and read blueprints
  • Follow quality and safety procedures, as specified by Safety Data Sheets, other guides
  • Attentive to detail and quality
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers
  • Set up, maintain, and clean workstation
  • All other duties as assigned

What You Will Bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Delivery driver / box truck experience, preferred
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to be insured by Out of The Woods Custom Cabinetry, Inc
  • Ability to handle and move cabinets carefully, maintaining quality
  • Cabinetry or related assembly experience
  • Ability to handle and move wood products carefully, maintaining quality
  • Fluency in English; reading and speaking
  • Spanish language is a plus
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Assembly, construction, and/or manufacturing experience, preferred
  • High degree of energy, self-motivation, and flexibility
  • Experience operating power tools and equipment
  • Knowledge of woodworking

  • Carrying out two to four deliveries on a typical day
  • Regularly reading labels, signs, measuring devices, and computers
  • Work is performed in a warehouse environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: stand for long periods of time; use computer to enter data; read labels, signs, measuring devices, and information on computer screens
  • The employee is regularly required to: perform repetitive wrist, hand and/or finger movement, feel the attributes of objects, grasp, push, and reach with arms or hands
  • Regularly lifting, pushing, and pulling a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Exposure to noise and dust in the warehouse
  • Regularly wearing PPE, including but not limited to close-toed shoes and eye and ear protection
