Program: Newton Outpatient Center

Shift: Full-Time (40 Hours)

Job Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM - Monday through Friday - Flexible hours.

We promote overall health and quality of life through treatment services (evidenced-based therapies and medication management) that reduce the impact of mental illness, behavior challenges, and substance abuse for individuals, youth and families.

Our Alianza Terapeutica Latina (ATL) location in Norcross provides outpatient services in Spanish and English.

Job Description:

  • Assembles, analyzes, and interprets new/updated information about the client in order to reassess treatment needs.
  • Identifies unmet needs, reviews available resources, and modifies the treatment plan as indicated.
  • Requests treatment authorizations and re-authorizations within required time frames.
  • Provides and bills only those client services that are authorized in the service plan.
  • Case Management, Referrals, Collateral & Treatment Team Contacts May serve as case manager to facilitate and ensure communication, linkage, and continuity of care between clients, physicians, other organizational components, community resources and service providers.
  • Establishes linkages and coordination of services with community agencies.
  • Develops and maintains cooperative working relationships with community service providers.
  • Informs clients and families of the availability of community advocacy and support groups.
  • Outpatient After-hours Call Rotation Clinicians are expected to assist in coverage of after-hours outpatient client calls via phone.
  • Rotations are for one week and the frequency of rotation is dependent on the amount of staff covering the calls.
  • An additional supplement is provided to staff that cover a weekly shift.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements/Competencies:

  • Must be a Fully Licensed clinician LPC or LCSW in the state of Georgia
  • This position is on-site and does not accommodate a remote schedule or working from home.
  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds
  • Requires long periods of sitting/standing
  • Must have valid Georgia driver’s license and Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy
  • Candidates for selection must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting)
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug screens
  • Any combination of training and experience, which would have enabled the applicant to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities Note: Some positions may require a valid driver's license
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

Master's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university AND eligibility to be licensed.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • MUST have a Georgia License as LCSW or LPC
  • At least ONE YEAR experience working with MH/SA clients completing Assessments, Crisis
  • Interventions, Diagnosing, Treatment Plans
  • Experience with CareLogic or other EMR
  • Is comfortable and proficient with collaborative & concurrent documentation
  • Experience in trauma-informed care, or trauma related interventions and skills
