Buyer Job Description
Develops and executes sourcing strategy, evaluates product offerings, recommends suppliers, and negotiates contracts for assigned categories or departments. Performs work under direct supervision. Handles straightforward issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.

Responsibilities:
- Develops and distributes RFPs/RFQs and collects bids or other information.
- Evaluates proposals/quotes based on offering quality, cost, or other criteria and recommends suppliers that are best suited to meet the organization's requirements.
- Ensures that all procurement activities comply with internal policies and external regulations.
- Support all aspects of supplier quotations including loading of bids and bid packages, processing of responses, evaluation, and award.
- Support activities to drive improved supplier performance in delivery, quality, and cost.
- Ensures products and services are purchased in the most cost- and time-efficient manner.
Additional Essential Functions
- Attendance/Punctuality Is consistently at work and on time; Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent; Arrives at meeting and appointments on time.
- Work Location Will mostly work at the assigned office. With some remote, work available after the probationary period.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education:
Bachelor’s degree and one to three (1-3) years of experience, or a combination of equivalent work experience and education. Alternatively, Master’s in Supply Chain or MBA with some equivalent experience, internship or project work.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of SAP Inventory software; Excel, BOBJ, and Brio Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Office Applications
