JOB SUMMARY

The Business Development Manager is responsible for new business development and the maintenance of existing Houston based business relationships. This position is located in Denver, CO. Identifies account activity information and develops contacts for new or expanding business opportunities. Develops and presents rig, NDS, and NET-S proposals to customers and obtains contracts to increase market share and profitability.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for marketing available rigs and drilling services to customers in assigned territory (Houston based – US Land.)
  • Develop new and expand established business.
  • Increase sales volume through direct sales efforts, such as calling on key clients, preparing quotes/proposals, negotiating final agreements and following up with customers at an appropriate frequency.
  • Establish professional customer relationships with appropriate customer staff
  • Initiate customer follow-up on a regular basis at a frequency appropriate for the business opportunity
  • Presentations to individuals or groups on company products
  • Provide activity reports via Salesforce concerning customer-related activities for quotes, orders, and meetings; ensure sales activity is tracked properly and is up to date at all times
  • Negotiate prices and terms of sales with clients in accordance to company policy
  • Become familiar with market needs, competition and trends through customer calls, industry contacts and participation in industry organizations, trade shows and conferences.
  • Keep management and sales team members informed of all relevant activity

Qualifications


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Electrical, Mechanical, or Petroleum Engineering
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical, Business or related degree
  • Able to work within our Sales Values and Guiding Principles
  • Must have superior time management and organization
  • Must be able to travel to the potential customer sites as needed
  • Must be detail focused, self-motivated and team oriented
  • Must be able to identify and make contact with potential clients
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience with sales and marketing
  • Knowledge of drilling and rig equipment is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of US Land Oil & Gas Market
  • Experienced in marketing drilling rigs
  • Experience with Downhole Drilling Technology Solutions
  • Experienced in creating estimates and working through negotiations
  • Experienced in organizing sales calls and schedules with detailed reporting
