Business Analyst
Whippany, NJ
As a Barclays Business Analyst, you will be successfully providing Business Analysis. You will also be responsible for coordinating, planning, and performing analysis tasks for one or more components of a program and/ or transaction cycle business process and/ or specialist applications. Lastly, you will be responsible for acting as a reviewer and quality gate for analysis output, ensuring root cause is addressed and the right design delivered for user requirements.

What will you be doing?
- You will be responsible for providing support to the Lead Business Analyst/ Project Manager, helping articulate and presenting effective requirement proposals within a project or initiative
- Being able to elicit, validate and document business requirements or user/ feature stories depending on the change methodology in use by the development teams
- You will be responsible for participating in the design process, from design approval to functional design completion to ensure the functionality/ benefits envisaged are delivered
- Owning the delivery of the work assigned and driving it to successful completion, working proactively with stakeholders
- You will be responsible for supporting development of the test strategy, planning and testing cases working in conjunction with the business, testing and development teams
- Liaising with Tech for reported defects and resolving them to closure
What we’re looking for:
- Experience as a Business Analyst working on medium to large scale change initiatives
- Good understanding of project delivery methodologies including the software development lifecycle and the role of the business analysts in these contexts
- Adept at using Microsoft Office products and other software packages relevant to analysis work, e.g., Excel, Project, Visio
- Experience preparing and issuing a range of key business analysis artefacts
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Business Analysis Accreditation(s) would be beneficial
- Experience with Equity trading flows and processes for cash and derivatives, understanding of market regulations would be advantageous
- Experience of writing basic SQL
- Experience of carrying out business analysis across multiple systems in an organization
