PRIMARY PURPOSE:
A Mason Tender/Laborer is one who assists the masons with a variety of tasks.
ROUTINE DUTIES:
- Keep the mason supplied with the needed materials at all times.
- Arrive at the jobsite ½ hour earlier if assigned to mix mortar and place mud on boards for masons.
- Follow instructions for assembling and disassembling and storage of scaffolding by scaffold supervisor.
- Make saw cuts for masons, place concrete and steel lintels, grouts, place tents for weather protection, clean scaffold, load brick and other materials, place flashing and wall ties, etc.
- Reports to work on time. Checks in with the foreman when arriving and leaving the jobsite.
- Attend safety talks and abide by OSHA and Buckner & Sons Masonry safety standards (hard hats, dust masks, safety glasses, etc.)
- Provides tools to perform daily tasks.
- Adheres to policies outlined in the Buckner & Sons Masonry Handbook and Substance Free Workplace Manual.
