Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant
Job description
We are an HVAC service and controls company in Amityville, NY, looking for an Administrative Professional/Bookkeeper to work on an immediate, full time, onsite basis.
Essential Job Functions
- Manage accounts payable to ensure timely and accurate payment of vendors and subcontractors. Help to resolve purchase order or invoice issues, process check and wire disbursements, and handle 1099 processing and tax related matters.
- Manage Accounts Receivable to ensure timely and accurate invoicing to customers. Assist with collections and any other additional billing requirements needed in order to collect payment.
- Reconcile general ledger and perform month end journal entries.
- Assist service department to ensure accurate and timely recording, including monitoring and analyzing project revenue, billing, cost accumulation and project forecasting.
- Assist with payroll.
- Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
- Effectively communicate and project the principles of the company.
- Assist with general office duties such as answering phones, opening mail, scheduling service appointments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Working with schedules
- Knowledge of Accounts Payables
- Knowledge of computerized general ledger software
- Good references
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
