Job Summary
Avantor is looking for a dedicated and passionate Account Manager to optimize our Sales team that is responsible for maintaining relationships with accounts by visiting customer sites within assigned territory.
This role will be a full-time position for Puglia/Basilicata/Calabria, Italy office. You will have the opportunity to be part of a trusted provider of mission-critical products and services to customers in the biopharma, healthcare, education & government, and advanced technologies & applied materials industries. The team
Avantor’s Account Manager is part of an amazing team that implements agreed strategies across defined accounts while maintaining and developing existing business.
What we’re looking for
- Education: BA/BSc or equivalent essential is required
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in a complex sales environment, where multiple clients are involved in the purchasing decision and there is a solution based selling approach plus 1 year leadership experience is required
- Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Teams, Word and Excel experience is required
- A proven track record of verifiable sales success
- Experienced in working in a fast paced and targeted environment
- Teamwork experience
- Business-to-business sales experience
- Experience and a scientific background and/or having worked in a laboratory or research
- Demonstrated capability to effectively utilize best in class selling processes and technology platforms including CRM Tools
- Mandatory attendance of Sales Trainings
- A good understanding of company’ products, promotions, services- and solution offerings for customers
- Must have an in-depth understanding of relationship types and buyer behaviours
- Broad understanding of VWR Product & Service portfolio
- Languages: Fluent in English (oral and written), preferably 1 or 2 more languages
- Strong communication skills (professional level)

- Willingness to travel to customer locations
