What's the role?

Billing Specialists are responsible ensuring timely and accurate billing for clients on behalf of the MBE affiliate group. The role will manage work in progress (WIP) and correspond with firm partners regarding their clientele. This includes:

  • Billing clients in a timely and accurate manner including for payroll, bookkeeping, consulting, and tax returns.
  • Conducting research on billing questions from clients including reaching out to internal managers.
  • Entering billing and new client information into company software systems.
  • Assisting clients with requested information, delivery of documents, and general inquiries.
  • Provide administrative assistance to partners and staff including providing front desk coverage.

What experience and skills do I need to be successful?

  • Comfortable working daily in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience working in a related billing role highly desired.
  • Experience working in NetSuite or related billing software a plus.

What will my schedule look like?

This role supports our office hours of Monday-Friday 8a-5p. The role will typically work an 8.5 hour shift with a 30 minute lunch break each day. Generally overtime is not expected and May-September the office closes at noon on Fridays for summer hours.
